My practice focuses on people and portraiture. I use a range of mediums such as graphite pencils, chalk, charcoal, pen and ink to draw different figures and faces; I use this to try and address how we understand and connect to each other as individuals. I have recently been exploring more about how to do this through painting as well as drawing. My work is often quite introspective, exploring my own connections to other people by spending the time to study them.

    I am currently looking into how the eyes and isolation of people in artworks create intimate and very personal feeling pieces. trying to create a connection that invites the viewer to look at a portrait like they are individuals and not just images, or characters playing a part.
